About Mike Smit's Word of the Day
I often find myself using words that most people wouldn't use in conversation. Usually I or the person I am talking to will point that out, and we'll laugh a little and then move on. I've decided to capture some of these words and include them here for your edification.
The thing is, I'm not so good at regular updates. So WOTD @ MikeSmit.com will check the age of the current word of the day. If it's too old, it will automatically go to Dictionary.com and download their latest word (and definition). If I came up with the Word of the Day, it will stay up for 48 hours; WOTDs from Dictionary.com last for 24 hours.
Of course, my words will be different from dictionary.com's words. They intentionally choose obscure words that few people know of. I use words that most people could define if they think about it, but that most people would never use in day-to-day life.
