merry freaking christmas   Add Comment Dec 8th, 2004 at 09:48pm
In my continuing efforts to be festive, I went on a hunt for a Christmas tree. Yes, it was pouring rain and windy, but my mother was in town for the day with a vehicle, so off we went. I got good and soaked while wrestling with trees. My mother got a good laugh out of it, sitting in the warm dry van.

I got the tree up to my apartment, walking by the cleaning lady while raining needles on her freshly cleaned floor. It now sits proudly in my living room, festooned with 200 mini-lights and garland. There's another 200 mini-lights up on my window for all the world to see. The net effect - it looks great.

Most of my readers will know of my great love for all things West Wing. You may remember mentioning that Season 3 on DVD would make a great gift for me - well, the ship sailed on that. Today, I ordered it myself after I learned it was difficult or impossible to find in Nova Scotia. While it is possible that all of my loyal readers ran out and bought up all the copies for me... I didn't want to bank on that.

After getting extensions on both of my final projects, I find myself with more time than I expected. I seem to be using it to decorate my apartment, but this can only go on so long. I'll keep you up to date.

I'm still chuckling thinking about your Christmas tree exploits. You were certainly soggy; but hey, you built memories about your first tree escapade, (funny memories at that, for me anyway, :o) and, the net result looks great.
